Started
March 2000 with 14 members. 20th
April, invited to an opening ceremony at Chamberlayne Leisure centre.
We performed a display to many Southampton officials and residents. 30/4/00
First competition at Ringwood, 14 entered.
Everyone did very well and we won 8 team silver medals 13/5/00,
entered 13 members into the Southampton Schools competition, the
performers represent their school, not the club 24/6/00
applied for Millennium Awards for All First
hiring out of hall 10/9/00 for club use only, 2 hours a week at
Chamberlayne Leisure Centre 15/10/00
entered our first grading competition at Milton Keynes with 4 members Increased
hours for hiring out hall 22/10.00 – 3 hours a week 29/10/00
entered 14 Ringwood novice competition, won one individual bronze, 3
bronze team and 3 silver team medals By
the end September we had 50 members October
2000, entered novice competition at Ringwood, 14 entered we won one
individual bronze, 4 team silver and 4 team bronze October
2000, 2 assistant coaches started their in-house training November
2000, informed that we were successful in our application for millennium
award and were granter £4993.00 for equipment and training November
2000, 3 parents took a coaching exam and passed December
2000, 10 entered Hampshire Schools Competition, the performers represent
their school, not the club, 3 won individual medals December
2000, awarded a bursary for a coaching course December
2000, awarded a grant for 2 push-in mats December
2000, Christmas Disco, 200 entries January
2001 2 new 6mm trampolines arrived Jan
2001 3 parents attended a judging course and passed Crash
course February 2001 – full course 28 performers Feb
2001, we were nominated in 7 categories at the Southampton Sports Awards
In
most categories, it was very close but unfortunately we did not receive an
award that year March
2001, Team Lightning joined with a trampoline group in Winchester.
We have gained a very experienced coach and good performers into
the club. March
2001, Southampton Schools Competition, the performers represent their
school, not the club, 31 entered and we won 2 individual silvers March
15, 2001 Red Nose Day fundraising bounce.
We raised £80.00 April
2001, our 2nd graded competition, 8 performers entered and we
won 2 individual gold and 2 individual silver April
2001, Increased hiring our of hall to 4 hours a week May
2001, Edgbarrow Competition, 34 entered and we won 7 individual bronze, 5
individual silver and 3 individual gold.
Our youngest performer who entered had just turned 7 years old and
she won a bronze medal.
Nicky Stuart also won best form for the whole of the competition 2
more assistant coaches began their training. April
2001, 2 more parents attended a coaching course and passed May
2001, we held our first novice competition, 8 clubs were invited to
compete and the results are as follows: 51 performers entered from our
club, including Team Lightning, Winchester, We

June 2001, invited to perform a display at Chamberlayne Leisure Centre July
2001, entered into Southampton Volunteer Investment Programme Awards.
This award is for good practice with our volunteers, making sure
all their needs are catered for and helping with personal progressions.
We have won a ‘Certificate of Intent’ which means we have
almost won the full award.
Only a few clubs in Southampton have won this award Justine
is to be presented by the Mayor with this award July
2001, entered into the Volunteer Investment Programme Awards throughout
England.
We are waiting to hear the results August,
increasing training hours to 5 per week. Since
establishing in March 2000, we have won 96 medals currently

27 volunteers, including coaches, judges, assistant coaches, officials and
all support staff. Future During
2000, 2001, we have held 3 sessions for people with disabilities.
This was on a come and try basis.
Peter Hull MBE has now joined Team Lightning as our Disabilities
Development Officer and we hope to start a session for people with
